Solicitor & Head of Housing Disrepair
Nichola is a specialist housing disrepair solicitor and Head of Housing Disrepair at Sparrowhawk Legal. She brings over a decade of litigation experience to the firm, with a passion for helping clients live safely, securely, and with dignity in their homes.
Nichola studied law at the University of Hertfordshire, achieving both an LLB and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. From a young age, she knew law was her calling; shaping her education and career around the goal of delivering justice and real change for those in need.
Throughout her legal career, Nichola has worked across a broad range of litigation matters, including personal injury, boundary disputes, debt recovery and breach of contract. She also brings valuable experience from acting on behalf of landlords in rent recovery and property damage claims, giving her a well-rounded understanding of landlord-tenant law from both perspectives.
At Sparrowhawk Legal, Nichola focuses solely on supporting tenants living in unfit or unsafe housing. She handles everything from building a strong legal case to ensuring repairs are carried out and compensation is recovered. Her clients appreciate her honesty, compassion, and straight-talking approach - always setting realistic expectations while offering a reassuring presence during what can be a deeply stressful experience.
A standout moment in her career involved securing emergency removal of a family from a home where two children were sleeping beneath exposed asbestos - a case that underscored her commitment to putting safety first and fighting for the rights of vulnerable tenants.
Outside of work, Nichola is a dedicated mum of two and enjoys family outings, arts and crafts, cross-stitch and baking. She’s currently honing her cake decorating skills and dreams of one day running a home-based craft shop, but for now, she’s exactly where she belongs: making a real difference in people’s lives, one home at a time.
